Horror game Anglerfish, which only saves when you die, hits consoles on February 29

Nearly two years after its release on PC, game developer Professional Villains’ forthcoming horror game Anglerfish is heading to consoles.

Revealed today, Anglerfish will arrive on February 29 via the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. A release date trailer can be seen below. Publisher Feardemic Games is helping bring this title over to consoles.

A synopsis for Anglerfish reads:

Welcome to Anglerfish. Your secluded bar in Mols mountains. Here you will experience the true survival horror of dating, which means you will die. Multiple times. Many times. Every time you die, you have to start over but here’s the catch - the game changes, based on how and where you died to keep you on your toes. To make it through the night, you must uncover the secrets hidden deep down in Anglerfish’s core by exploring every nook and cranny, and solve the buried mysteries.

The game only saves when you die. Every time you die, something changes. Every change is based on where and how you died. Go on an epic adventure only equipped with your trusted shotgun, your wit and your strong stomach for disturbing exploration. Can you survive a night at the bar, Anglerfish?
