Hearts and Hand Grenades release new single "Our Darkest Night"

Buffalo hard rock band Hearts and Hand Grenades have unveiled their new single "Our Darkest Night” via Eclipse Records.

The song, which arrives a few months after the release of the band’s new album Where I Begin, comes with a music video directed by Cristo Cola. Lead vocalist & bassist Stephanie Wlosinski said this about the visual:

“This video tries to tell a story from the photograph in which the song is about. The photo contains an image of an apocalyptic time which is the result of an ongoing war. As the story unfolds, the aftermath of the destruction becomes more and more apparent. We felt this song was a great song to tell a story based on something as simple as a photograph. By looking at it, you have to wonder what happened in the background? How did everything die? Why is this person smiling with nothing to smile about?”

Guitarist Mike Bress also said:

“This is our first concept video. We dipped our toes into something a bit different in that none of the band members are in the video. We try to tell the story with short cut scenes of how life would exist after everything is destroyed. By doing this, we are trying to convey that foolish wars will eventually bring on a world where a once lush earth becomes a desolate wasteland as a result. Living will be almost impossible.”

"Our Darkest Night" is out on digital services right now. Starting tomorrow (May 8), Hearts and Hand Grenades will be touring alongside Smile Empty Soul and Kamenar. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
