Gundam Evolution closed network test comes to consoles in June
After PC players got their shot testing out Gundam Evolution, it’s time for console players to get their turn.
Closed network test for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 players in the United States and Canada will take place from June 23 through June 28. Console registration is live here, and it’ll remain live until June 12. Individuals will know if they’re chosen between June 16 and June 17.
A synopsis for Gundam Evolution reads:
Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play team-based first-person shooter featuring 6v6 PvP combat with playable mobile suits from across the Gundam multiverse. The game will offer three objective-based game modes: Point Capture, Domination and Destruction. The title presents a unique set of challenges that will require teams to craft and execute formidable offensive and defensive strategies to emerge victorious.
Gundam Evolution executive producer Kazuya Maruyama said this in the developer’s blog:
The purpose of this test is to gather gameplay data and user feedback from each platform to iron out the game's bugs when played on a large scale, and to test console-specific features such as aim assist and controller functions to improve game balance. However, please keep in mind that as mentioned in the previous Developer Blog by Ryota, balance adjustments and bug fixes addressed in the PC network test will not be reflected in the console test.
Although the in-game voice chat feature will be implemented in the official release for both the PC and console versions, unfortunately the in-game voice chat feature will not be available for the console test. In the meantime, please use the in-game party function for this test.
Gundam Evolution will arrive later this year.
