After some teasing, Grammy-nominated metal group Gojira has announced their new studio album.

Revealed today, Fortitude will arrive on April 30 via Roadrunner Records. The 11-track album was produced by Gojira vocalist’s Joe Duplantier in the band’s NYC recording studio Silver Cord Studio. The first single from the album "Born For One Thing" comes equipped with an engaging music video directed by Charles De Meyer. The visual was shot in both Belgium and France.

When it comes to the new track, Duplantier said:

“We have to practice detaching ourselves from everything, beginning with actual things. Own less possessions, and give what you don’t need away, because one day we’ll have to let everything go, and if we don’t, we’ll just become ghosts stuck between dimensions.”

Pre-orders for Fortitude are live here. This is the follow-up to Gojira’s 2016 studio album Magma, which earned them two Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album.

This summer, Gojira will embark on a summer tour supporting Deftones. Tour dates can be seen below.
