Gel sign to Blue Grape Music, releasing 'Persona' EP this August

New Jersey hardcore band Gel will deliver some new music this summer.

Announced today, the band has signed with Blue Grape Music for the release of their Persona EP, which is slated for an August 16 release. The five-song release was produced/engineered by Jon Markson, who is best known for their work with Drain and Jivebomb. The opening track from the EP titled "Mirage" is out now with an accompanying music video directed by Eric Richter (Knocked Loose, Jesus Piece, Koyo).

Vocalist Sami Kaiser said this about the forthcoming EP:

“We really wanted to fill out the songs more and make them more nuanced. It’s a step forward, it’s different, it’s catchy, but it still really sounds like us.”

Pre-orders for Persona can be made here. This is the follow-up to Gel’s 2023 debut album Only Constant.

This weekend, Gel will take part of the sold-out Sick New World music festival in Las Vegas. The band will also embark on treks across the United States, the U.K., and Europe. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
