Gayming Awards 2024 to take place in Palm Springs
After a successful ceremony in NYC this year, the 2024 installment of the Gayming Awards is moving across the country.
Revealed today, the ceremony, which will take place on April 7, will move to the Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs in Palm Springs, California. Next year’s ceremony will also be aided by a new Community Diversity Council led by Raffy Regulus from NYC Gaymers.
Robin Gray, the creator of the Gayming Awards, said this about the move:
“I’m so thrilled that the impact and reach of the Gayming Awards continue to grow, and this move to Palm Springs shows that we want to keep carving out our space in the global games industry as we come to its spiritual home in California. I’m also delighted we’ve appointed Raffy to head up the Community Diversity Council. Celebrating LGBTQ+ representation in its fullest form is important to us, and it’s crucial to have this Council reviewing some of our decisions and ways of working to ensure our event is diverse, equitable and inclusive as possible.”
Kate Brown, Director of Sales & Marketing, at Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs also said:
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host the Gayming Awards at Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs. It aligns perfectly with our brand pillars of fun, escapism and inclusivity, and reflects our continued support of the LGBTQ community and the wonderful contribution it makes to the destination as an essential part of the Palm Springs DNA.”
Scott White, President & CEO of Visit Greater Palm Springs stated:
“We’re excited to welcome the 2024 Gayming Awards to Palm Springs, and the beautiful Margaritaville Resort. We share your vision of inclusion and are excited to celebrate LGBTQ+ representation in the global games industry.”
