Gang Beasts Takeover coming to National Videogame Museum
The National Videogame Museum announced its new collaboration with video game studio Boneloaf.
Revealed today, the Gang Beasts Takeover will arrive at the museum on July 22, and it’ll run through August 31. This program will allow visitors to learn behind-the-scenes stories about the game’s development while playing the game. Cosplayers can also get their shot at winning prizes from Boneloaf and National Videogame Museum with their Beef City Fashion Week, which is a competition to crown the best Gang Beasts costume. More information about Beef City Fashion Week can be found here.
Conor Clarke, Marketing Officer for the NVM said this about the event:
“Gang Beasts has forever been the most popular game on display at our museum, as well as being one of the most successful games worldwide over the past few years. To be able to partner with Boneloaf on this Summer programme is an absolute delight and an honour. The team has been incredibly generous and kind with their time and support of the museum and showcasing how their ultra-successful game was created right here in Sheffield has been an absolute joy. It’s nearly been as much fun as actually playing the game. Nearly.”
Boneloaf said:
“We’re excited to show some examples of the many experiments, iterations, and mistakes we made with the development and promotion of Gang Beasts to the NVM’s audiences, especially to those that want to make their own games.”
Released in 2017, Gang Beasts was nominated for Excellence in Multiplayer at the 2018 SXSW Gaming Awards. Gang Beasts was recently added to Xbox Game Pass.
