Fugees will celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Score with a world tour.

Revealed today, the act’s trek will kick off on November 2 inside the United Center in Chicago, and it’ll feature performances in Los Angeles, Miami, and Washington D.C. before heading overseas for shows in Paris, London, Nigeria, and Ghana. Tickets for these shows will go on sale to the general public this Friday (September 24) at 10 a.m. local time.

Tomorrow, Fugees will hold an intimate pop-up performance at an undisclosed location in New York City. This will be their first official performance in 15 years. Fugees will also be part of the forthcoming Global Citizen Live event, which takes place on September 25.

Ms. Lauryn Hill said this about their forthcoming tour:

“The Fugees have a complex but impactful history. I wasn’t even aware the 25th anniversary had arrived until someone brought it to my attention. I decided to honor this significant project, its anniversary, and the fans who appreciated the music by creating a peaceful platform where we could unite, perform the music we loved, and set an example of reconciliation for the world.”

Wyclef Jean said this:

“As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement. We would be a voice for the un-heard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.”

Released in 1996, The Score is the best-selling album by a hip-hop group with 22 million copies sold worldwide. The album became the first for a hip-hop group to gain a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
