Ezra Furman announces livestream concert at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts

Musician Ezra Furman will hold a special livestream concert the at Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Announced today, the pre-taped concert, which will go live on November 1, will be shot by director Ty Ueda. In a statement Furman said:

“I hope my hero Jonathan Richman would be proud (check out the Modern Lovers’ “Girlfriend” and see what I mean). Songs from throughout my time as a musician will share space with all sorts of lauded nineteenth century paintings and sculptures. Because it’s Art, damn it.”

Tickets for this stream are on sale right now. Proceeds from ticket sales will be split towards charities supported by The Life You Can Save, which is an organization showcasing charities to help fight poverty.

Furman has been gaining praise for their work on the Sex Education soundtrack. Their last studio album was 2018’s Transangelic Exodus.
