ATLUS is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga by delivering its tunes to fans worldwide.

Today, the soundtracks for Digital Devil Saga and its sequel have been released on digital platforms. The release features 139 songs from the games, including a handful of hidden tracks. The soundtracks are available on digital services right now here.

Both Digital Devil Saga games were released in North America in 2005 on the PlayStation 2. In 2014, both titles were re-released on the PlayStation 3.

A synopsis for Digital Devil Saga reads:

Enter the world of the junkyard, where rival tribes fight an endless war - vying for supremacy and the right to ascend to nirvana. Everything begins to change when a blinding light interrupts a skirmish between two tribes. Serph, leader of the Embryon, awakens after the flash to find that his opponents have been violently slain. In a crater left behind lies a young girl with black hair.

The people of the junkyard soon discover the effects of the mysterious light; tribe members transform into demons, and feed an insatiable hunger by devouring their enemies. Along with this new "Atma" comes another strange power: emotion.

Soon afer, the Karma temple issues a new law: "Devour the other tribes and bring the black-haired girl to Nirvana." Hostility only grows, as the tribes renew their efforts with increased hatred and zeal.

The Embryon struggle to defeat the opposition and protect Sera, the young girl, who may just hold the key to everything...

A synopsis for Digital Devil Saga 2 reads:

A black sun bleeds despair across the land of Nirvana...

Serph, leader of the Embryon wanders aimlessly through the lifeless streets before him. In the Junkyard, his Tribe fought a gruesome war, hoping the light of heaven would relieve their suffering. In the end, Serph's world vanished, along with the comrades who stood by his side.

All that awaited him in Nirvana were endless streets littered with the silent remains of human statues.

The Promised Land was nothing but a new hell...
