Deftones and System of a Down will join forces for a special concert event in San Francisco.

Announced today, both bands will take over Golden Gate Park on August 17. Joining them for this show are The Mars Volta (who toured with System of a Down back in 2005), Viagra Boys, and VOWWS. Pre-sale tickets will go live tomorrow (April 10) at 10 a.m. PST. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday (April 12) at 10 a.m. PST. Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster.

Deftones will be part of Coachella (which kicks off weekend one in a couple days), Primavera Sound, and Lollapalooza. Deftones upcoming tour dates and tickets can be found here. Deftones’ last studio album was 2020’s Ohms, which spawned Grammy-nominated singles "Genesis" and the title track.

System of a Down will headline Sick New World, which takes place on April 27 in Los Vegas. The music festival also features performances from Sleep Token, Spiritbox, and Bad Omens. A limited number of tickets can be purchased here.
