Canadian metalcore band Counterparts announced their new studio album yesterday.

Titled A Eulogy For Those Still Here, the 11-track release will be available on October 7th via Pure Noise Records. For this release, the band reunited with producer Will Putney (Knocked Loose, Every Time I Die). The first single from the record titled "Unwavering Vow" comes with a music video directed by Matt Wade and Ben Ward.

Vocalist Brendan Murphy said this about the forthcoming album:

“I think I deal with things by preparing myself for the end. With so much of this record I’m mourning the loss of someone that’s still alive or saying goodbye to something that hasn’t left yet. All of these things I have are still a big part of my life but one day they won’t be, and I don’t want to be focusing on that instead of enjoying the time I have with them. Maybe I’m saying goodbye preemptively but I think it’s important to say goodbye while you can.”

Pre-orders for A Eulogy For Those Still Here can be made here. This record follows Counterparts’ 2019 studio album Nothing Left to Love.

Counterparts will be busy in the U.K. this month with festival appearances at Slam Dunk, Hellfest, and Graspop Metal Meeting. In October, the band will tour Europe alongside The Amity Affliction. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
