BTS' J-Hope, Tomorrow X Together added as Lollapalooza 2022 performers
Lollapalooza 2022 will be getting some K-pop love next month.
Announced today, J-Hope from K-pop act BTS will be rocking the main stage on Sunday, July 31. This will make them the first South Korean music artist to headline a main stage at a U.S. music festival.
In 2018, J-Hope dropped their debut solo mixtape Hope World, which peaked at number 38 on the Billboard Top 200. The following year, the artist collaborated with Becky G for "Chicken Noodle Soup", which peaked at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This made J-Hope the first BTS member to have a charting solo single.
Lollapalooza also announced that Tomorrow X Together will appear on Saturday, July 30. Formed in 2019, the act sold out every stop in their debut tour in the U.S. In 2021, they unveiled both their K-pop record The Chaos Chapter: Freeze and their all-Japanese pop-rock album Still Dreaming. The band’s performance at Lollapalooza will come days after the conclusion of their sold-out summer 2022 trek across the country.
Four-day, three-day, two-day, and single day tickets for Lollapalooza are on sale to the general public right now.
