Brooklyn cellist/composer Issei Herr has teamed up with vocalist Maria BC for their new single “Aveu (The Beginning Is a Farewell),” which was released today.

An accompanying live video, which can be seen below, was filmed live at St. John's in the Village last December by Chris Weiss.

“Aveu (The Beginning Is a Farewell)” is the final song from Herr’s forthcoming debut album Distant Intervals, which will be released on April 7th via NNA Tapes. Pre-orders for the nine-track album can be made here.

Herr will be playing a handful of shows in the following weeks, including performances in Los Angeles and Tokyo. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets will go on sale soon.
