Before Your Eyes coming to PlayStation VR2 in March

BAFTA award-winning adventure game Before Your Eyes is heading to PlayStation VR2.

The game, which is developed by GoodbyeWorld Games and published by Skybound Games, will make its way to PlayStation VR2 on March 10 for $14.99. Pre-orders for the VR2 version will begin this Thursday (January 26) on the PlayStation Store.

Graham Parkes, lead writer and creative director for GoodbyeWorld Games said this about the jump to VR2:

“As soon as our team heard the news that PSVR2 would have eye-tracking, we began fantasizing about a VR version, and once we began work on it, our excitement only grew. This is going to be the most magical way to experience this story, for both existing fans and newcomers alike.”

Ian Howe, Managing Partner, Skybound Entertainment also said:

“The response towards Before Your Eyes since its initial release in 2021 has been incredible, and the team have continued to innovate the way players can interact with this game, first via a computer camera and then through mobile devices and now in virtual reality. With multiple award wins, this game is a critical success and has been embraced by players across the world. We’re excited that this passionate audience will continue to grow with this release on PlayStation VR2.”

A synopsis for the game reads:

Before Your Eyes is an interactive afterlife played with your real-life blinks. Embark on an emotional first-person narrative adventure where you control the story—and affect its outcomes—with your real-life blinks. With this innovative technique you will fully immerse yourself in a world of memories, both joyous and heartbreaking, as your whole life flashes before your eyes. The game uses PS VR2's front-facing camera to immerse you in this story in a way you've never experienced before. You will learn to control the flow of the narrative with your actual eyes–blinking through precious memories of family, first love, and the rise of an artistic career.
