All Time Low team up with Z2 Comics for Young Renegades graphic novel
Pop punk band All Time Low will dive into the graphic novel world this summer.
Announced today, the band are joining forces with Z2 Comics for their forthcoming graphic novel based on their 2017 studio album Last Young Renegade. Titled Young Renegades, the book will be released this June. Robert Wilson IV and Megan Huang were the main illustrators while writer Tres Dean delivered the story. When it comes to working on the graphic novel, All Time Low vocalist Alex Gaskarth said:
“When we wrote our album 'Last Young Renegade' we imagined an entire world separate of our own, almost a "what if" version of All Time Low, both with our musical sound and with the visual narrative we put together around it. Creating 'Young Renegades' the graphic novel allows us to tell more stories in the universe we imagined and delve deeper into the mythos and thematic ideas that were at play when we were celebrating that era. 'Young Renegades' is another branch, another thread and another look into the LYR continuity through an incredible medium we've never collaborated in before. Working with the story-tellers and artists on this project has been an incredible new undertaking and we can't wait for everyone to enjoy it with us.”
Pre-orders for Young Renegades can be made here. Aside from the graphic novel, fans can also pick up an exclusive Last Young Renegade vinyl featuring artwork from Young Renegades cover artist Andrew Cook.
All Time Low’s latest studio album is 2020’s Wake Up, Sunshine, which includes the hit single “Monsters (feat. Blackbear).”
