5 acts to catch at Lollapalooza 2021

Lollapalooza makes its grand in-person return this weekend, and music fans are excited to safely catch some great music acts live. We look at five acts that will be the ones to watch at Chicago’s Grant Park from July 29 through August 1. More information about the festival can be found here. If you’re unable to make it to Lollapalooza, you can catch the action live on Hulu.

Radkey
When: Sunday, August 1 at the Grubhub Stage (12:50 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.)

Missouri's own punk rock trio of brothers Radkey have been wowing crowds worldwide for over a decade. Alongside praise from publications such as New York Times, NME, Radkey found themselves on the road with Rise Against, Jack White, and The Damned. The band will be busy the new few months with tours alongside Foo Fighters and Local H. Their latest studio album Green Room was released last year.

Jessia
When: Saturday July 31 at the Bud Light Seltzer Stage (1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.)

From TikTok to Lollapalooza, Canadian pop artist Jessia is poised to wow the crowds as they open the Bud Light Seltzer Stage. The artist's debut single "I'm Not Pretty" earned over 70 million Spotify streams since its release in January. Fans can expect to hear some new cuts during their 45-minute set.

Peach Tree Rascals
When: Sunday, August 1 at the Bud Light Seltzer Stage (2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.)

San Jose collective Peach Tree Rascals made a splash on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in 2019 with their indie pop jam "Mariposa." Following a slew of standalone singles, the outfit delivered their debut EP Camp Nowhere in March. They didn’t stop there, though; they recently hooked up with AG Club for the infectious single “Popeye.”

Black Pistol Fire
When: Friday, July 30 at the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Stage (2 p.m. - 3 p.m.)

Canadian rock and roll duo Black Pistol Fire, which features lifelong friends Kevin McKeown and Eric Owen, will bring some licks and swagger while promoting their latest studio album Look Alive, which was released in January. The title track gave the duo their first charting single in the United States.

The Aquadolls
When: Sunday, August 1 at the Grubhub Stage (12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.)

Mermaid rock and roll trio The Aquadolls have been a fixture in the California music scene with performances alongside Pennywise, X, and Vivian Girls. In 2019, the outfit documented their summer tour with the Are You In The Band? documentary. Recently, the outfit unveiled their first new single in two years with “Disappearing Girl.”
