10 music acts to catch at Coachella 2022

Coachella returns for its first in-person event since 2019, and music fans can’t wait to see their favorite acts live again. We looked through the lineup and listed 10 acts you should check out at the festival, which goes down from April 15 through April 17 and April 22 through April 24 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. While Coachella is sold-out, the festival will run a livestream over on their official YouTube channel. More information about Coachella can be found here.

Amyl and the Sniffers

Australian garage rock band Amyl and the Sniffers became of their home country's most promising new bands with the release of their 2019 self-titled debut album. The band's latest studio album Comfort to Me managed to earn strong debuts in the Australian and U.K. charts with singles such as "Guided by Angels" and "Security."

Chelsea Cutler

Connecticut singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler, who has been dropping fan favorites such as "You Were Good to Me" and "Sad Tonight,” is making their Coachella debut during their headlining tour across the country. The pop artist will be supporting their latest studio album When I Close My Eyes, which was recorded in three different cities.

Nilüfer Yanya

English artist Nilüfer Yanya turned down being in a girl group to become one of indie rock’s most praised artists. Yanya will be plugging their new studio album Painless, which is out on ATO Records. The artist will be touring across North America in support of the record.

Code Orange

Two-time Grammy-nominated metalcore band Code Orange will bring some riffs and mayhem to the Coachella crowd. Joining the band's live set for this massive performance is Tallah drummer Max Portnoy, who became the band's touring drummer last year. Code Orange closed out 2021 with the release of "Out For Blood," which was one of our favorite songs of the year.

Molchat Doma

Belarusian post-punk band Molchat Doma found a massive fanbase outside of their home country. The band will be supporting their latest studio album Monument, which is out on Brooklyn-based record label Sacred Bones Records. The band will embark on their first-ever headlining tour across North America, which features a plethora of sold-out dates.

The Hu

Since blowing up on YouTube, Mongolian folk metal band The Hu found themselves touring across North America and being part of Metallica's tribute album Metallica Blacklist. The Hu are slated to unveil the follow-up to their 2019 studio album The Gereg. The band will tour across North America following their Coachella stint.

Turnstile

2021 was a massive year for Baltimore hardcore punk band Turnstile. With the release of their latest studio album Glow On, the band became one of rock music's most buzzed-about artists with accolades from publications such as Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and Spin. Following Coachella, the band will embark on headlining tour featuring a slew of sold-out shows. Turnstile will be performing a slew of shows alongside My Chemical Romance this fall.

Viagra Boys

Since the release of their debut album Street Worms, Sweden’s Viagra Boys have become one of the brightest acts in the post-punk scene with fan favorites such as “Sports” and “Slow Learner” earning millions of streams. The band are currently touring in support of their latest studio album Welfare Jazz.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard

While lockdown reigned heavy in their home country, Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard devoted their time to delivering jams for such a trying time by unveiling three studio albums within a year. So far in 2022, the band are on track to unveil two studio albums: the two-track Made in Timeland (which dropped in March) and the double album Omnium Gatherum (which arrives later this month). The band's live shows have earned them accolades for Best Live Act at the Music Victoria Awards.

Epik High

South Korean hip-hop act Epik High will make their grand return to Coachella following their praised performance back in 2016. The act will be promoting their latest release Epik High Is Here, which includes guest appearances from G.Soul, Younha, and Giriboy.
